Grant-Stone Supermarket: Reviews & Ratings
Believe it or not, my mother ( Outhsa and Father (Prasong Phothong) used to work here for the last 25 plus years until she retired. Her husband used to work there side by side. Unfortunately, he passed away from a stroke. I never took any pictures and I wish I had. All I can tell you is from my very own experiences since I was a child seeing them working together. I will surely miss seeing my Father there . Furthermore, Mr. Jackson the OG who used to owned this place was an upstanding man but later retired, and sold it. Mr. Jackson was the guy who kept everything afloat and he worked very hard and Diligently kept his business going for a lot of people. Anyone who has ever worked for him knows he was the man who made this happened. They can attest for him. I just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting him. Thank you so much for what you did Jackson and everyone else there that kept it going. We appreciate it very much. We all need that super market that has things that no one carries. Grant-Stone Supermarket does. Since, the new owner made it possible for the store to continue operating. They even made it a better place and a lot cleaner, and well organized than before. A place where it is affordable for a family that comes in from all walks of life, rich or poor, middle class… no one cares. No matter who they were this place is still standing. Thank you to the new owner.
Love this place, the selection is great, and they have a lot of viral foods/snacks!
I like to go this market whenever I'm in the area. The market is a good size market. They have items that I like especially their produce section because of the reasonal price than other places.
First time buying here, produce fresh and cheap! Big variety of seafood which I loved, can’t wait to cook tonight!
They have frozen food that is very good. Items I don't want to try to cook for myself. It seems very well stocked. Generally pretty busy.
This is the place to go. They are great guys very fast and efficient and get the job done. I was in bad predicament and they let me use one of their spares. Until I got my new tires and then having to be over Thanksgiving weekend made it even a bigger challenge. I got my tires on Monday after Thanksgiving and shot over there and they put them on right away and im thankful that they could help me out. This is a Real Good Tire Shop repair. Thank you AJ'S tire Service.i rate this 10 plus.100%
A well stocked Chinese grocery store! New owners a year or so ago are continuing to update and reorganize. New shelving, cold units, and now checkouts. The shelves are now filled with a LOT of merchandise, nicely organized. The best selection of teas in town! Everything you would want for canned, packaged goods - sauces, seasonings, noodles, snacks. Produce, fresh meat is limited but the vegetables are fresh. Tucson is lucky to have an Asian supermarket with Leelee’s, but I grew up with smaller markets like Grantstone and G&L serving the Chinese community. Nice to see this store being refurbished. If you haven’t been lately, check it out.
This Asian grocer has a wide selection of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese-origin pantry products. Their prices are very competitive, especially compared to Lee Lee's Supermarket although their selection ia Not quite as extensive. Please check sell-by and expiration dates; I regularly find I've purchased items that were months to a year out of date.
